Tecumseh Trail Marathon

Back on Saturday, December 1st I ran the Tecumseh Trail Marathon with Ben Hess. It was the toughest race I have ever done (and I have done several)!!! The marathon was located down in the hills of Brown County. We started at Morgan Monroe State Park and ended in Yellow Wood State Forest. I found that trail running is completely different with all the hills and everything else you have to watch out for on rugged trails! It was just awesome that both Ben and I completed this race!!!

Ben and I with our sock gloves before the race!

In the start area ready to go and trying to keep warm!

Coming up the hill at mile 9. Doesn't the "trail" look amazing! This is a decent section!!!

Ben Hess at mile 9!

Another of the MANY hills. This one at 18.5!

Ben at 18.5.

Going into the final sprint in a race against Greg, the guy in gray at the end!

Finally completing 26.2 miles!!!

Ben completing!!!

Kristen Schlegel and I right after I finished!

Mom and I at the end! It was great to have friends there that cheered us on at different points of the race! Always gave that extra boost!!! Plus great pictures thanks to them!

Ben and I after 26.2 miles. Not quite as energetic as the beginning!!!

Dear Andrew.

First "Thank you" so much for remembering me at Christmas. Your family always make me feel special and loved. Thanks!

Congratulations on your "Marathon" and Kristen is beautiful. I hear she is a very "neat" lady. Very well liked, that she is very intelligent as well as beautiful, very caring, easy to know gal. Lots of good qualities in a person. She must be a very giving person since she will one day be a Dr. Is that correct?

Life is so good as we keeping looking up to our Lord and Savior. Life's path is not always what WE thought it would be, but always more that we had thought. As we leave the decisions up to the Lord, and are obedient to His plan for our lives, blessings will flow, even in the hardest of times. Never let go of the Master's hand. Keep following, and obeying.

Congratulation on paying off the business. I would like to hear about the changes you have in mind for the future of the store. If ever there is anything I can help you with I will be glad to do so. If you need help with mailings or whatever, just let me know.

Well, dear friend, again thank you and I praise God for your blog it appears you have a fun full life. Not all work and no play, that means you are not a "dull boy" right? [smile]

God's very best now and always.
